Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how EasyTeX (“EasyTeX,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles personal information when you visit easytex.cc or use our resume, document, job-search, interview, sharing, and related career tools (the “Service”).

EasyTeX is responsible for the processing described here. You can contact us at contact@easytex.cc or through our contact page.

Account and contact information

Name, email address, user ID, authentication provider, profile preferences, newsletter subscription, and messages you send to support.

Resume and professional content

Resume sections, work history, education, skills, contact details, document settings, uploaded files, LaTeX source, job descriptions, cover-letter inputs, research materials, saved jobs, and other content you choose to provide.

AI and media inputs

Prompts, generated outputs, assessment answers, interview audio or transcripts, and file text processed when you choose an AI-assisted, parsing, speech, or generation feature.

Device, usage, and advertising information

IP address, browser and device type, user agent, referrer, page path, events, session and anonymous identifiers, cookie or advertising identifiers, ad interactions, timestamps, and approximate location derived from IP or hosting headers.

Public-link analytics

When a public resume link is viewed, we may record the public-link ID, resume ID and title, IP address, device type, user agent, referrer, approximate country, region, city and coordinates, and viewing duration.

• You: when you create an account, edit a resume, upload a file, contact us, publish a link, or use a feature.
• Your browser or device: through logs, local storage, cookies, analytics, consent tools, and similar technologies.
• Authentication providers: such as Google when you choose federated sign-in.
• Third-party or public sources you direct us to use: such as a job URL, job listing, citation, or other page submitted for a feature.
• Service providers: when they return operational, security, delivery, or usage information to us.

• provide accounts, save and compile documents, import files, generate exports, and deliver requested features;
• process AI-assisted requests and return suggestions, scores, questions, transcripts, or generated documents;
• publish resume links at your direction and provide link-view analytics to the resume owner;
• authenticate users, prevent abuse, investigate errors, secure the Service, and enforce our Terms;
• measure performance and usage, understand product adoption, and improve features;
• send service messages, respond to support requests, and send marketing only where permitted; and
• comply with law, protect rights and safety, and handle disputes.

For people in the EEA, UK, or similar jurisdictions, our legal bases may include performing our contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service, your consent for optional advertising or marketing, and compliance with legal obligations. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing.

When you invoke an AI-assisted feature, the content needed for that request may be sent to a configured AI, speech, avatar, document-processing, or compilation provider. Depending on the feature and deployment, providers may include Microsoft Azure, Groq, Cerebras, ElevenLabs, D-ID, or another processor selected to provide the requested function.

When you compile or preview a resume, its LaTeX source, including the resume information contained in that source, is sent to a configured LaTeX compilation service so the PDF can be produced.

Do not submit information that is unnecessary for the task. EasyTeX does not use AI output to make an employer’s hiring decision, and the Service is not designed to determine eligibility for employment.

We disclose information only as needed for the purposes described above:

• Infrastructure and storage: hosting, database, authentication, file storage, and deployment providers such as Supabase and Vercel.
• Product operations: Google sign-in; Resend for email delivery; Crisp for support chat; Microsoft Azure, Groq, Cerebras, ElevenLabs, and D-ID for configured AI, speech, or avatar features; job-data providers; and configured LaTeX compilation services.
• Measurement and advertising: our internal analytics, Vercel Analytics, Google AdSense, Ezoic, Gatekeeper, and related advertising partners.
• At your direction: people who receive a public link, an export destination, or another integration you choose.
• Legal and safety: authorities or other parties when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, investigate abuse, or establish legal claims.
• Business changes: a buyer, investor, adviser, or successor in connection with a merger, financing, reorganization, or sale, subject to appropriate safeguards.

We do not sell personal information for money. Advertising cookies and disclosures to advertising partners may, however, be considered a “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising under some privacy laws. You can opt out through the consent controls described below.

We use cookies and similar technologies for sign-in, security, session continuity, preferences, analytics, consent management, support chat, and advertising. The resume editor may also store a local draft backup in your browser so work can be recovered.

Our consent platform provides choices for optional technologies through its banner or privacy controls where required. You can also limit cookies through your browser, but blocking essential storage may prevent account, editor, or preference features from working. Because browser “Do Not Track” signals are not standardized, we do not treat them as a separate opt-out request.

A resume is private to your account unless you deliberately enable a public link. Anyone with an active public link may view the published resume content. Search engines or recipients may retain copies outside EasyTeX’s control.

The resume owner may receive analytics about visits to that link. Disable the link when you no longer want it accessible, and avoid publishing sensitive personal information.

Saved resumes remain in your account until you delete them or an account-deletion request is completed. Disabling a public link stops access through that link, but existing view-analytics records are not automatically erased by that action. Account, profile, saved-job, research, chat-history, support, and internal analytics records remain until they are deleted through an available control, a verified request, or an operational maintenance process.

We do not currently publish a fixed retention period for every record category. We may retain records when needed for security, legal compliance, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution. Third-party providers apply their own retention schedules. Browser-local backups remain on your device until the application or you remove them, or you clear browser storage.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including account controls and access restrictions. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so use a unique password and avoid adding unnecessary sensitive information to a resume.

EasyTeX and its providers may process information in countries other than your own, where local laws may differ. Contact us if you need information about the location or transfer arrangements of a provider relevant to your use of the Service.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, obtain a copy of, correct, or delete personal information; object to or restrict processing; withdraw consent; opt out of targeted advertising, sale, or sharing; and appeal a denied request. You also may have the right to complain to a privacy regulator and to receive equal service when exercising your rights.

Use available account controls or email contact@easytex.cc with the subject “Privacy Request.” Tell us the right you want to exercise and the account email involved. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where an exception applies. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law.

You may unsubscribe from marketing through the link in the message. Service and security messages may still be sent while your account is active.

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where required.

We may update this policy when the Service, providers, or law changes. We will revise the date above and provide additional notice when a change materially affects how we use personal information.
